Hatice Altug
École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne
Professor Altug is based at the Institute of Bioengineering, École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland. Her research group applies nanophotonics to biology, aiming to introduce biosensors and bioimaging systems that can be used in life science research, point-of-care disease diagnostics, and environmental and food monitoring and safety. Previously she was an Associate Professor at Boston University, USA and a Post-Doctoral Fellow at Harvard Medical School, USA. Her PhD is in Applied Physics, from Stanford University, USA, and she also has a BSc from Bilkent University, Türkiye.
